Cuttable impositions

A ganging imposition should be logical and easily be cut. The best way to obtain this is by a logical design.

Strokes and shelves

We simplified the cutting-process by:

  1. guaranteeing that each order only appears in one imposition.
  2. dividing each imposition in strokes, and each stroke in shelves, comparable with the shelves of a bookcase.

Each shelf contains an MxN layout of orders

The strokes may lay horizontally or vertically. Between two shelves, there is only one order in an M by N-layout. This simplifies the cutting process and makes it much more logical.
